Why a Seasonal Yoga Workshop?
Modern life rarely allows us to pause long enough to notice what we actually need. Seasonal yoga works differently.
Rather than pushing for improvement, this seasonal session supports you to tune in, slow down, and respond to where you are physically, mentally, and emotionally, at this point in the year.
Yoga Orkney® has developed a programme of seasonally inspired workshop sessions that recognise the changing rhythms of body and mind as we move through the year. Each session is designed to relax and renew, helping you move through the seasons with more ease and resilience.
Spring: A Season of Renewal
Spring is traditionally associated with renewal, fresh starts, and a gradual return of energy after winter.
In this workshop, we explore how to:
gently re-energise after a slower winter period
reconnect with motivation and clarity without pressure
cultivate steadiness as activity increases
support the body and nervous system through seasonal change
Rather than jumping straight into action, we work with what has been conserved over winter—allowing energy to return in a way that feels sustainable and supportive.

This is a group, in-person & online seasonal yoga session combining movement, rest and guided relaxation.
10:00am – Welcome chat, tea & Sensory Relaxation
10:30am – Seasonally inspired Rest & Restore Yoga (Yin-based)
11:30am – Guided Deep Relaxation
12:00 noon – Tea & informal chat
12:30pm – Finish

HOW WILL I ACCESS THE ONLINE SESSION?
After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details you need. Closer to February 28th, I’ll send you the link to join via Zoom (or your preferred platform), along with some guidance on how to prepare your space at home.
WHAT WOULD I NEED FOR THE ONLINE SESSION?
A yoga mat or comfortable surface to lie on, a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed for two hours, and any props you have at home, cushions, blankets, or bolsters. Don’t worry if you don’t have specific yoga props; I always suggest household alternatives.
DO I NEED PRIOR YOGA EXPERIENCE?
Not at all. This session welcomes everyone, wherever you are in your practice. I’ll guide you through everything, offering options so you can adapt the movements and rest to suit your body.
WILL I RECEIVE A RECORDING OF THE EXPERIENCE?
Yes. You’ll receive a recording after the session so you can revisit the practice, reflect more deeply, or simply experience it again when you need that seasonal reset. Recording expires after 2 weeks.
CAN I ASK QUESTIONS DURING THE ONLINE SESSION?
Yes, there will be opportunities for questions and connection. While some of the session flows through guided movement and deep relaxation, I’ll create space for you to share and ask what you need.
WHICH PROGRAM WILL WE USE TO MEET VIRTUALLY?
I’ll send you details after booking, including the zoom link and any technical guidance you might need. It will be simple to join, no complicated setup required.
